Career exploration at Kruger
Isabelle René, Supervisor – Transportation, Kruger Publication Papers Inc., received the Professional Mentor Award in the Transportation and Logistics category during a September 5 Gala Award Evening held by MR3 Montréal Relève at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
The gala honoured high school students who took part in summer internships and their mentors, and Isabelle René was lauded for the planning and the quality of her internship, as well as for being closely involved with her intern.
A high school student accompanied Isabelle René and her team during a five-day exploratory internship in the summer of 2013, acquiring unique work experience along the way. She learned more about the Publication Papers sector and gained insight into the day-to-day operations and transportation activities at Kruger Inc.’s four publication paper mills.
The internships are an initiative of Student Business, a Montréal career exploration program that gives students in their third or fourth year of high school the opportunity to complete an internship at a company and explore various occupations and professions.
Kruger Inc. is proud to play a role in career exploration and to support the efforts of future generations.
