Kruger Products Sherbrooke Plant: Two-Time Finalist at Les Mercuriades
Montreal, Quebec, March 24, 2023 — Kruger Products Sherbrooke Tissue Plant was selected as a finalist in the 2023 edition of the prestigious Les Mercuriades business competition in the following two categories: “Développement économique et régional” (economic and regional development) and “Manufacturier innovant” (innovative manufacturer).
Kruger Products Sherbrooke’s nomination underscores the outstanding work done in building the plant during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the dedication, flexibility, and collaboration shown by the employees that began operating the facility in that turbulent period.
The use of innovative technology, that makes the plant one of the most advanced in Canada, is also highlighted.
These nominations were announced on March 24, 2023, at an event organized by Québec’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FCCQ).
The awards presented at Les Mercuriades, created in 1981 by the FCCQ, are coveted by businesses of all sizes and sectors of activity across the province. Winners will be announced at the Federation’s annual awards ceremony in Montréal on May 23, 2023.
In 2022, the plant won two awards at the 35th edition of the Gala Reconnaissance Estrie, presented by Sherbrooke’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, namely for Entreprise manufacturière (manufacturing company) and Rayonnement international (international reach).
